Jeremiah 6:16“Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.”
Where are you on the path? Are you keeping your eye on the destination? Can you even see it? As we walk along this trail of our life, when we have found the ancient path there are many times when we think we might have lost our way. It just doesn't seem right somehow. What do you do? You check your map!! The Most High has left us definite instructions on which path would be the right one to take. But what if your map says your on the correct path but things around you are still making you unsure?? Do you freeze? What then?
Psalms 25:10“All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.”
Do you go back to the last trail marker you saw and verify that you are on the right path? Backtracking? How do you know that when you arrive at this spot on the path again you won't become unsure yet again?
Do you forge ahead looking for the next marker that you are on the right track? That is the wisest choice if you are going to arrive at your destination. It is also often the hardest choice. The bible says that our flesh is an enemy of The Most High. So that means when you are chasing after feelings you are not chasing the Most High.
Psalms 17:5 “Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.”
