Overcoming Adversity

Proverbs 24:10

If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”

Life will bring Adversity. There is no way to avoid it and quite often in trying to avoid it you will create or encounter more. It isn't about avoiding adversity it is about how you respond to it and where you draw your strength from to overcome it. Ask yourself today, "When I encounter adversity will I trust The Father to help me overcome it?"

2 Corinthians 12:9 - And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
1 Peter 5:10 - But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle [you].

2 Corinthians 1:3Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; - 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

2 Chronicles 15:7 - Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

Fear not

Lamentations 3:57 Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.
Isaiah 35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.

Stop living in Fear!

Fear= Bondage   It is time to break the chains of fear. Today begin to reprogram your mind to think Faith over fear.
It is a conscious choice. Turn to the Holy Spirit for guidance.

Isaiah 41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

Fear is a powerful motivator used by the enemy in many ways. Fear will cause you to make rash emotion-based decisions.

Fear of failure
Fear of loneliness
Fear of hurt or pain
Fear of death

Isaiah 43:1But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. 4Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honorable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.5Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; 6I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; 7Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. 8Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.99Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.

We should fear no one or nothing only our Creator.

Joel 2:21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.

Zechariah 8:13 And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.

Fervent Faith

In reading Daniel 3, and its continuation in The Song of the Three Holy Children (in the Apocrypha), our Creator and Father’s character is fully displayed – righteous judgment and mercy!  Included in this story are profound truths of deliverance and redemption for us even today IN THE VERY MIDST of our own fires of tribulation and trial.  May we remember and display this same fervent faith!
1)       Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego praised and blessed the Most High IN THE MIDST of the fire. (Song of Three Holy Children 1:1)
2)      They acknowledged His righteous judgment for the people’s disobedience to His commandments IN THE MIDST of the fire. (SOTHC 1:8)
NOTE:  They did not just confess their own sins but the sins of the people as a whole.  This also includes the sins of the forefathers before them.
3)      They asked the Most High to remember His covenant with them and not wholly deliver them up, for His name’s sake, IN THE MIDST of the fire. (SOTHC 1:11)
4)      They offered up humble and contrite hearts of repentance instead of a sacrifice (they had no way to access an acceptable Levitical sacrifice) IN THE MIDST of the fire.  (SOTHC 1:15-16)
5)      They claimed that those who put their trust in the Most High will not be confounded IN THE MIDST of the fire. (SOTHC 1:17)
6)      They committed themselves to follow the Most High with their hearts, fear Him, and seek His face IN THE MIDST of the fire. (SOTHC 1:18)
7)      They requested the merciful deliverance of the Most High according to His wonderful lovingkindness and marvelous works – and to give glory to His name – IN THE MIDST of the fire. (SOTHC 19-20)
8)      They requested that He confound their enemies and show them that HE is the Most High and glorious over all the earth IN THE MIDST of the fire. (SOTHC 1:21-22)
9)      Then the Angel of the Most High came down and joined them IN THE MIDST of the fire and smote the flames and made it as if THE MIDST of the furnace was a moist whistling wind, and the fire did not touch them or hurt them or trouble them. (SOTHC 1:26-27)
10)   Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego continued to praise and bless and glorify the Most High IN THE MIDST of the quenched furnace. (SOTHC 1:28-68)

Glory, honor, and praise be to our mighty God, King, and Savior!!

How are you using the gift of life?

You are given a gift to live on this Earth to experience life and to affect people around you. Are you going to influence people for the Father or chase them from him?

How are you using the gift of life that he gave you? Are you investing your time in Scripture, research, health, love, or are you squandering it on futility and things that do not pay you a return?

Peace

When Christ said, "Peace I leave you not peace as the world gives but my peace." When you consider what Christ meant when he said his peace.

ETERNAL PEACE
Coming from an eternal perspective.

PEACE WITH AUTHORITY
Coming from a place where you understand that you have authority over every situation and over every devil in hell!

UNSHAKABLE PEACE
UNCOMPREHENDABLE PEACE
PEACE RESTING IN CHRIST

The peace that is unshakable, the peace that cannot be understood by those who are unspiritual, the peace that comes from a solid foundation in Christ.

When the world says peace they mean lack of business or maybe quiet time or maybe you just have your needs met and so you feel calm but they can't comprehend the level of peace that Christ has promised to us. The scriptures encourage us to be peaceful and encourage and Inspire one another.
How are you sharing your peace today?
How are you holding on to your peace and not allowing the Devil to steal it?

Wise as a serpent Gentle as a dove

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.-Matthew 10:16

When I think of a snake I immediately get the creeps! Ugh, they are so deceptive and quiet. You quite often do not even know they are there until you come upon them.  Doves also can be very still and quiet even though they present no real danger.  That was the essence behind What Christ was telling us with this statement.  We cannot escape the wickedness of these days and times. But we can withdraw ourselves from participation, stay quiet, watchful, and protective of ourselves and our families. We can use wisdom and listen more then we speak in order to be effective in the mission that we were put on this earth to achieve. Being prepared and ready for the Fathers use.

See, I have told you in advance.
Matthew 24:45
Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the others their food at the proper time?
Matthew 25:2
Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
Matthew 25:4
But the wise ones took oil in flasks along with their lamps.
Romans 16:19
Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice over you. But I want you to be wise about what is good and innocent about what is evil.

Wise.

Luke 21:15
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

New Year

As we have just begun this new year, this new time of growth. The Most High is asking us to level up.  Its time to get more serious then you have ever been. Time to commit. For better or worse. There will be trials, tests, and challenges along the way.

Romans 8:35

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”

There are so many testimonies of those throughout the scriptures that were faced with difficult or drastic life choices to follow the Father. Many times it took longer or looked very different from the way that they thought that it would. The Father never claims that this walk will be simple or easy. In every instance where the people in the book were faced with difficult life choices those that moved in Faith and followed Him were shown great mercy and blessings.

Psalms 37:5 - Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.

Psalms 37:4 - Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Proverbs 16:3 - Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Jeremiah 26:14 - As for me, behold, I [am] in your hand: do with me as seemeth good and meet unto you.

30 day challenge to stop the complaining and murmuring

Shalom Sisters, I hope everyone has had a blessed day and that all is well in all of our households this week. This is sister Yahkira, and I wanted to share a video I did with you all. I apologies the Ruach just reminded me to share it with you sisters. It’s something The Most High put in my spirit as a way to strive for righteousness. It’s a 30 day challenge to stop the complaining and murmuring we do, whether it’s about our children, our husbands, pets, work, etc. It’s time we as a nation not only the sisters start learning to pay attention to how we think, react and to what we are truly uttering out of our mouths.

Study

Strong's 1897 says study means to ponder imagine meditate also
3854 means intense mental application.
2nd Timothy 2:15 says study to show thyself approved unto God a Workman that needeth not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of Truth.
We have to study to make the Most High proud not to make ourselves proud. Not to make other men proud. Not to impress anyone. To prove that we are a workman.

1st Thessalonians 4:11 says in you that study to be quiet and do your own business and work with your own hands as we commanded you.
We cannot know his words if we have never studied them. We cannot know what will please the father if we have not researched and gotten to know who he is what he likes and what he doesn't like. Humans are living in a fallen state the Bible tells us that anyone who says they do not sin makes The Most High a liar.now who do we want to believe The Most High or a man? Don't trust your Eternal salvation and your soul to someone else. Do your due diligence. Press in,seek Him learn the things that He is trying to teach you.Through His word, through prayer, through worship, through meditation on the scriptures, and then you will be a Workman rightly dividing the word of Truth.
1st Peter 3:15 Isaiah 55:11 Psalms 119:105

Don't get stuck

Genesis 19:26 “But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.”

Lots wife fell victim to the same fate many of the children of Israel fell victim to in the exodus. She got stuck looking back. Longing for the old days. The times when even though life was hard it didn't seem as difficult as waking forward in Faith.

So many times in our lives the Father will show us that His way will turn out better for us then we could've ever come up with for ourselves, and yet we still doubt. Question. Fear.

I challenge you today to let go of the past, adopt a kingdom mindset, and take that step of  faith.Choose to follow the Father wherever he leads and don't look back.

Luke 17: 32Remember Lot's wife. 33Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Endless life

Hebrews 7:16

“Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.”

Power,focus determination endurance fortitude......
Everything that has ever driven any of the civilizations before us was the search for eternal life. Each empire of this earth that was built as an attempt to immortalize the people that lived in it has fallen.  So now I ask you what are you searching for? What are you building?  What will your legacy be?

2 Peter 1:3

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”

Every day you are either laying foundation stones or wasting your time. Are you building through your obedience to the laws statutes and commandments?  Take an inventory of how you are using your time, energy, and resources and find out, Are you preparing for an endless life?

Matthew 6:20-21 - But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: (Read More...)

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Be Real

Psalms 51:6

“Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.”

Are you living a transparent life? Are you authentic with those around you? Do you come to those who the Father has put in your life to help you openly? Do you try to lie to your Creator? Can you even be real with yourself??

We must be truthful from our innermost beings in order to gain real freedom.  So many times the enemy disguises sin or compromise in our life as reaction.  I was just doing such n such because they....

The Father calls us to know ourselves, and respond to the situation brought into our lives not to react.

If you don't know what weaknesses you have the enemy will consistently be able to use them against you. Take some time, learn who you are, know your weakness so that you can ask The Father to strengthen you. Then Walk in Truth and authenticity.

Proverbs 19: 20Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. 21There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. 22The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar. 23The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

Abide

abide

Definition of abide-to wait for AWAIT,
to remain stable or fixed in a state,
to continue in a place SOJOURN,
 to conform to,
to accept without objection ,to set,to stay,to remain

Walk in the spirit that you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. To abide in the Father through the son is how you stay in the spirit. Take the time to slow down focus your mind and energy and learn to abide in Him.

John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Psalms 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalms 61:1 (To the chief Musician upon Neginah, A Psalm of David.) Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.5 For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.6 Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.7 He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

Proverbs 19:23 The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

1 John 2:25And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. 26These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 27But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 28And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 29If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

2 John 1:9 “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.”

Stop admitting defeat!

Romans 12:21

                         “Be not overcome of evil,
                     but overcome evil with good.”

The Father has called us to overcome and endure. Why do you keep throwing up your hands when the situation appears to be bigger then what you can handle??? Don't you know the Father allows this
on purpose to get your attention??? He is the answer to
the situation. If you could handle it on your own why do you need him? Of course it looks impossible. Because only through Him does the impossible become possible.  He tells us to trust that the one who put the earth beneath your feet and hung the stars in the sky can make ANY situation work for the good of those who are called according to His purposes.

Luke 1:37

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

Have you sought Him for the purpose? Or did you just let the enemy show you all of the reasons that this could never work, how hard it will be if you keep going this way, and convince you that there is no way that this could possibly be the path that he has chosen for you?  I mean there is no way being thrown into a fire alive (Daniel 3), or a lions den (Daniel 6), or slavery (Genesis 37), or a war (Joshua 4), or becoming the wife of a man of another nation(Esther 2), or marrying a prostitute(Hosea 1), or laying in the street, or burning dung(Ezekiel 4), or tending sheep(1 Sam 16),or adoption(1 Samuel 1) or keeping a home(Judges 4), or walking away from the family you were born into (Ruth 1) could possibly ever be part of His plan .

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.   (Read More...)

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-22 - To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:   (Read More...)

Proverbs 16:9 - A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Stop admitting defeat just because the situation in front of you doesn't look how you think it should. Stand up, Praise the Most High, give a battle cry, and keep going! Nothing just happens! Know that when you are called of Him you must do all you know to do to to keep ahold of His unchanging hand and walk in Faith not by sight.

He cares for You

1 Peter 5:7

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

Origin
Old English wyrgan ‘strangle’, of West Germanic origin. In Middle English the original sense of the verb gave rise to the meaning ‘seize by the throat and tear’, later figuratively ‘harass’, whence ‘cause anxiety to’ (early 19th century, the date also of the noun).

Can you believe it? Can you give him the things in your life that cause you to lose peace?  The things that nag at your brain and distract you from the things that The Father has put you here to focus on?

So many people have not had anyone to truly show them what it is to be cared about. This is the problem with sin. The consequences of it are often far reaching. This is why Christ told us to crucify our flesh and the lusts there of. So that we can learn the meaning of real love. Then we can care about people in a supernatural way.

John 13:34 - A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Psalms 103:2-4 - Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: (Read More...)

1 Corinthians 13:7 - Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Psalms 111:4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

Psalms 112:4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

Zechariah 7:9 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:

Matthew 9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

Matthew 14:14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

To begin to let go of all that would hold you back from trusting that he truly cares for you, you will have to learn about Him and His character. Then as you put into practice all that the Holy word teaches us you will learn what it is to really love. In turn you will learn how to be loved and know that He CARES for YOU!
