Missing Ingredient

Think of your favorite food or the best meal you have ever eaten.  How did you feel after you had eaten it??  If in a restaurant how was the service??  I have enjoyed many things so much that I sought the recipes out to make them.  Now think of the worst thing you have ever eaten.  Was it cooked wrong or how about a piece of hair in it??? If so would you chose to eat it or would you eat there again?
I have made quite a few catastrophes in the kitchen, but have been blessed to grow to where I am today.  It was not any easy process I have seasoned food too heavily, used the wrong seasonings, missed adding the necessary ingredients and I have burnt a few things.  Yes……I have even burned an egg while boiling it.  Honestly when I look back it was laziness, because I did not give meditate on the fullness of the Most High's provision.  I was not appreciative enough of this provision, nor was I willing to put forth the time needed in preparation of a meal.  Then on top of all this I had the nerve, to not be able to fathom how the meals that I prepared did not come out right when I didn't follow the recipe.   This changed after being married a couple of years (and having children) when my husband said, "Babe you have a recipe for a reason just stick with the "recipe" and you will get it.  In reality what I was offering should have been rebuked like the Father does!!!!  He could have gone into a rant, but he was patient (he even tutored me).  Yes… just like the Most High does with us even when we are not giving Him our all.  This impressed upon me that I needed to be as intentional and take time in preparing what we were given to fellowship as a family.  Our sustenance is far more than just something to eat.  It is an opportunity for others to experience the "care" given in preparing a fine meal.  So needless to say I had to learn how to cook and give it my all.  When I opened up and submitted so that my spirit could be changed, by being honest and seeking help, I was able to buckle down.  Then low and behold just that happened, I got it. Seeing them really enjoy our meal time shows that the Father is in everything.  I have not only grown in cooking, but have become diligent in finding new ideas to enjoy being stretched in the Father so that what we partake in is healthy overall.  This experience has illustrated on how becoming the "Fathers' foodie" actually has had a great impact in our lives. Yep, it is a family affair!!!   Now our daughters (sons) have joined in and we give each other "food challenges" which have become quite the thing in our home.  I know what you are saying that's too much, well actually is it????
This got me thinking of the detail that goes into a recipe and how when followed precisely you can enjoy a wonderful meal.  Furthermore how diligent our elders were when they prepared meals.  In this time I thought of Cain's' rebuked offering to the Most High versus the accepted presentation of Abel The difference was in their spirit of "love for the Father" in preparing and gathering the offering that was given to Abba.

In Genesis….4 3-5 we learn that…..So it came about in the course of time that Cain brought an offering to the Most High of the fruit of the ground.  Abel, on his part also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Most High had regard for Abel and for his offering; 5but for Cain and for his offering He had no regard.

Have you given thought to how specific and precise the details, the instruction, "the recipes" were when our elders prepared food for feast days or offerings??? What did Abrahams' care in his offerings to our Father look like; even through he had numerous fiery trials?  Was there a set forth order in his home so that the meal presented before the angels illustrated his obedience to the Most High?  This diligence was seen in the meal prepared for Isaac in preparation of his passing of the inheritance, it was precise!!!  The instruction in the presentation was ordained by Abraham in the Most High so Jacob moved as instructed when told to prepare the feast for his father, as we have learned, in a particular manner because he had the same love in his spirit for the Father.  Our love letter illustrates all that a wonderful meal represents, even if the meal itself is not, like in our brother Ezekiel's case in 4:15. None of us could begin to understand the resolve he had to make those cakes and then consume them.  Why??? We were not in the same (right) spirit given to him, because what he did shows that he was steadfast in refusing to be disobedient because he truly "loved" the Most High!!!!!   It was done to illustrate the gravity of Abbas' contempt of who we had become!!!!   In our Father's rebuke through this decree to our stiff necked elders (and us who are not redeemed) is clear about His disgust of how we had fallen as His people, although he had been beyond patient.  The dung used in this "recipe" with the barley, millet, beans and other the ingredients for the meal to be consumed was what we had become.   This was our savor …..the aroma that we sent (send as unredeemed) up before the Most High.   Honestly would you want a plate????  NO!!!!!   So for those with eyes to see these are just a few of the examples that we are given to move by after our eyes have been opened to the
 truth in our instruction.

So what was wrong with Cain's offering (meal), what was the "MISSING INGREDIENT" being full of ZEAL...…LOVE ……for the Most High.  So as with our brother Able we move so Abba will consume it, because the best is gathered, it is a sweet savor, seasoned just right and be pleasing to the eye.  This is IF we want to be redeemed and found worthy.  Thus moving in our instruction (recipe) the scripture seasons us to ensure that we are ready when proved by fire as his witness!!!  In them we are given the commandments to move in, so IF we proclaim to "LOVE" Him we are not living a lie.  We have the specific recipe on the particular things that taste pleasing to the Most High.  Why???  So that we are not just saying we love Him but showing ourselves approved. Will those running after Abba want to dine with you and fellowship with you, because you know what is to be "SET APART"???  Are you unshakeable in being made new in His image, so as to be found acceptable for the wedding feast to come?  Will your offering grant you an invitation to partake in the greatest feast ever known to man???   Will you be counted among the remnant as those that He will consider as His elect???  Will you be found worthy to call righteous for His promise that is coming soon???  Well is there something missing ingredient in your presentation…..what are you serving in this walk here for the Most High??? Is your offering delicious is there sweet savor….is it appetizing to Abbas' palate???  Does your offering smell of rotten meat….with a hint of dung???  IF it is the latter then go get the recipe!!!! So gather all you can to be feed up in His word!!!!!  Or be faced with what happens when you are told to go to the end of the line or just kicked out!!!!  How we walk here as a redeemed witness of the Ancient of Days should radiate Him in every way!!!!
