Fear

 

2 Timothy 1:7“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Is fear holding you back? Fear of failure? Fear of rejection? Fear is not a spirit given by the Most High. Fear is a tactic used by Satan to get you to freeze. As followers of Messiah we are to know the scripture so well that when the enemy attacks we not only do not give into his attack but we use the words given to us by our Father to defeat him and keep it moving. 

Matthew Chapter 4 1 Then was Yashaya led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Deut 8:3) 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 

7 Yashaya said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. (Deut 6:16) 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 

10 Then saith Yashaya unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. (Deut 6:13)  11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

The phrase "fear not" appears 144 times in the KJV translation. But the book of Revelation says that the fearful will not have a place in the coming kingdom. So now is the time to conquer your fears so that the enemy will have nothing to use against you. Falling in love with The Most High is the quickest way to conquer you fears for scripture also tells us that Perfect love casts out fear. We are all on our pilgrimage somewhere. Learning the lessons layed before us can be a challenge if we refuse to submit to the process. That is the moment you must ask yourself, If I am a child of the Most High What am I afraid of??

Revelation 21:8“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” 

 

 1 John 4:18“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 

 

 Isaiah 41:10 - Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
