Stubbornness

 

We have all heard the scripture quoted Rebellion is as witchcraft. but did you know it also says

1 Samuel 15:23

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. 

 When we reject the plan that the Father has laid before us in his word. He will reject us from a place in His kingdom. That is when you will be counted as the wicked.

1 Corinthians 10:14“Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.”

In this modern world of Facebook,snap-chat, Instagram,and television we are taught to idolize self. That how you look, what you think and how you feel is king.  Is it in your life? Do you make your decisions based on how you feel or based on what the word of The Most High says?  Have you spent enough time in your bible to know what he says about the decisions you are making in your life? Do you study to show thyself approved as is stated in  Timothy?

Many times When our Father is trying to take us in a direction that we hadn't planned or weren't quite ready for our flesh will rise within us and try to resist it. That is the moment when you will know if you have fed your inner spirit enough of the word that you will be willing to follow the Father whether it is comfortable or not. A sister once said to me " I want my belt of truth cinched tight around my waist so it can't fall off."  Are you after the truth no matter how it affects your comfort level?

But if you choose not to......

Proverbs 1:27-31 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
