Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get
wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Ecclesiastes 7:12 For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.
Prov 1:2 To know wisdom and instruction; to
perceive the words of understanding;3 To receive the instruction of wisdom,
justice, and judgment, and equity;4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the
young man knowledge and discretion.5 A wise man will hear, and will increase
learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:6 To
understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their
dark sayings.7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools
despise wisdom and instruction.
Luke 7:35 But
wisdom is justified of all her children.
Prov3:13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. prov 8:11,16:16
Ecclesiastes 1:13 And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.15 That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.16 I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.17 And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit.18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.
Ecclesiastes 2:24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.25 For who can eat, or who else can hasten hereunto, more than I?26 For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.
Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:3 In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened,4 And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low;5 Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.8 Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.9 And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.10 The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.11 The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
Ecclesiastics 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Rom8:4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled
in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.5 For they that are
after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the
Spirit the things of the Spirit.6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be
spiritually minded is life and peace.7 Because the carnal mind is enmity
against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.8
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.9 But ye are not in the
flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if
any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.10 And if Christ be in
you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of
righteousness.11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead
dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your
mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.12 Therefore, brethren, we are
debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.13 For if ye live after the
flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the
body, ye shall live.14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are
the sons of God.15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to
fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba,
Father.16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the
children of God:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified
together.18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not
worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.19 For the
earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons
of God.20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by
reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,21 Because the creature
itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious
liberty of the children of God.22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth
and travaileth in pain together until now.23 And not only they, but ourselves
also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within
ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.24 For
we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth,
why doth he yet hope for?25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with
patience wait for it.26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for
we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.27 And he that
searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh
intercession for the saints according to the will of God.28 And we know that
all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the
called according to his purpose.
