Words have power

So many times we say things without thinking. Or thinking they are just a joke. Words have the power of life and death. Sometimes to a moment sometimes to a day sometimes to a persons self image.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Matthew 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

James 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Ephesians 4:29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

 

  

Proverbs 21:23Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

 Psalm 141:3Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Tobit 13:6 | If ye turn to him with your whole heart, and with your whole mind, and deal uprightly before him, then will he turn unto you, and will not hide his face from you. Therefore see what he will do with you, and confess him with your whole mouth, and praise the Lord of might, and extol the everlasting King. In the land of my captivity do I praise him, and declare his might and majesty to a sinful nation. O ye sinners, turn and do justice before him: who can tell if he will accept you, and have mercy on you?
