friendship

Ecclesiasticus 6:5“Sweet language will multiply friends: and a fairspeaking tongue will increase kind greetings.”

Have you ever looked a a baby and felt that rush of emotion?? That overpowering love that they cannot return through words or actions or even validate yet you know its real and there?? The bond between a mother and child is like no other and yet as humans we crave more then one interaction. The Most high put us here to interact with each other. To learn. To have relationships so that we might begin to understand a fraction of his Love. Friendship is not an easy thing for most people in my experience. It requires forgiveness and trust, two things that take self sacrifice.  Laying down of your selfish nature to extend yourself to another human. Its a choice. Finding that balance in relationships where you and your stuff don't dominate the relationship but instead it is a give and take between both parties so that you both feel fulfilled.

1 Peter 1:22“Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:”

Proverbs 17:17“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”

John 15:13“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:14“Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Ecclesiasticus 6:16“A faithful friend is the medicine of life; and they that fear the Lord shall find him.”

Discernment

Hebrews 5:14“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

It is the enemies job to trick us into believing anything but the truth. Abe Finklestien said it correctly when he said a lie is the truth for the children of the Devil.  Discernment is a gift from the Father but is like your brain or other muscles, it MUST be used and practiced with in order to grow.  The beauty of it is that we have the word to compare things with in order to test them. So the more reading, studying, time you spend with The Most High the more your discernment will grow. The only truth that you will find on this earth is owned by the Father.

John 8:32King James Version32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

If what you are dealing with in your life is bringing you into bondage instead of freedom you may want to rethink the path you are on. Christians love to say that the Law is bondage and that the laws were done away with.  If they were following the law and the spirit they would understand that Law keepers truly experience freedom. Freedom from condemnation by the Father which translates to eternal life. The greatest reward ever!!!

Philippians 1:9-10 - And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and [in] all judgment;

1 Thessalonians 5:21 - Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.18“Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.”

1 Corinthians  12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Food for Thought

Philippians 3:19 “Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)”

Messiah survived 40 days and 40 nights fasting. He wasn't the only one. Can you even fathom that?? Judith lived a fasting lifestyle. We are so inundated every day with breakfast lunch dinner snack food food food FOOD! Taught that if we don't eat three full meals a day there is something wrong.  What if we change our perspective on food?? So many health coaches talk about viewing food as fuel. What is more important physical fuel or Spiritual fuel???What if you viewed getting scripture and wisdom from the Father as more important then food. What if you viewed it as the only time you are REALLY being fed is when you are receiving spiritually. Wouldn't you take it more seriously??

How do you behave when your hungry??? Do you suffer from Hanger??  How is your behavior when you are hungry or tired or overwhelmed? Are you still a light? Do you conduct yourself in a manner that the Father would be proud of?? What about with what is coming??? How will you behave when things are scarce? Do you have enough self control to conduct yourself appropriately even when you don't have the basic necessities?? Have you practiced fasting so that it is another tool in your arsenal against the enemy? Its been said that the armies of this world have trained so thoroughly that they can go 40 hours without food or sleep and still complete their mission. Can you go 24 hours and complete your mission?

Matthew 6:16-1816 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

Serenity Now!

How do you find serenity?  Stillness, quiet, peace.  There are so many things that can distract you from the stillness that you need to hear that still small voice. Stopping to take the time and go out side for a walk or into a quiet place is so important. Life is so fast paced and busy with work, family, houses, pets  and various other things.  So as you go about your busy little life remember to stop, meditate on the Scripture, pray, and calm your mind so that you might be able to hear that voice calling you towards eternity.

Baruch 3:14“Learn where is wisdom, where is strength, where is understanding; that thou mayest know also where is length of days, and life, where is the light of the eyes, and peace.”

Psalms 46:10 - Be still, and know that I [am] God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Psalms 62:5 - My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation [is] from him.
1 Kings 19:12And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

Isaiah 32:17 - And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
