Keeping your peace in the face of frustration is quite the challenge.
Ephesians 4:26“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:”
What are things that make you angry? What can tip your boiling point over the top? A big problem of mine is rejection of advice. I don't give advice unless I have tried it. The other is not feeling heard. Which I guess is basically the same thing. When you feel like your not being heard people tend to get louder , more forceful, as if that will help the situation. A friend said to me today that what you fail to realize is every person has their own free will and the choice to do or not do as they please; regardless of what you think or feel about it.
Accepting that and not getting angry or frustrated that their choice or will, is opposite or contrary to what you think is the right thing, is a challenge. Not allowing bitterness pain frustration to creep in and affect you and your behavior that is where the test comes in. It's not up to us how each person uses their free will, it's up to them. It's up to us how we choose to react or respond to each situation. A reaction is based off of their action: a response is based off of you coming from your being regardless of where, why, or how they behaved. This is a difficult thing to understand or comprehend. Modifying your behavior to response instead of reaction will bring you a level of peace you haven't previously known. Messiah said his peace he gave us not as the world gives so if you are going to walk in his peace you have to learn to respond to situations instead of reacting.
