Preperation of Peace

Song of Solomon 7:1“How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman.”

They say a first impression is made within the first 10 seconds of meeting a person. If you are a shoe lover like I am it is one of the first things you notice about a person. Whether their shoes are well taken care of  or torn and in need of replacement.For most it is one of the last items to be chosen for their outfit, or perhaps the outfit is built around them.  I will never forget one time one of my sisters in Yasharala was in such a hurry to get to our gathering she wore mismatched shoes. I wouldn't have noticed until she pointed it out. Haha.  Its amazing how different shoes make you walk, behave, even feel differently. A pair of high heels or nice boots make you feel dressy and more complete in your look. Slippers make you feel cozy and relaxed. A comfortable pair of tennis shoes gets you ready for a long walk, a workout, or even just a quick run to the market.  Then there is our go to pair. The pair that always feels good and goes with almost everything. That is the pair that I think of when I hear , shod my feet with the preparation of peace. It is the pair of shoes you can do anything in. Work ,fun, or even relaxing.  It is the pair that if you had to get rid of all unnecessary shoes would be the last to go. The pair you would fight to defend. The pair you would search for an exact replacement if you wore them out or pay to have repaired.

Ephesians 6:12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

  When we ask for the whole armor to be placed upon us we ask for our feet to be shod with the preparation of peace. Do you defend your peace? Fight for it? Look for ways to repair or replace it when the enemy comes to steal it??

Luke 1: 78Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, 79To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

With our feet shod with peace we can do anything. We can create, build, uplift, share, and light up this world for The Most High. Now is the time to shine. Do you know what The Most Highs definition of peace is??
