Your will or His will

How do you react when your plans go up in flames? When the things you've been working toward or on become a disaster just needing to be cleaned up?  How about when you face a challenge or an unexpected delay in your plans? These are all things that we cannot control. The Lords prayer contains this line," They will be done, on earth as well as Heaven." (Matt 6:10) What about when His will looks nothing like your plans?  What about when it looks exactly opposite of your plans? We have all found ourselves in this situation a time or two I am sure. It is not ever the situation or circumstance that is the problem really. It is our perspective on the situation.

Everything that we face in this life is a growth opportunity
The thing that matters when we come to these road blocks is our attitude about the difficulty and our reaction, never the difficulty.  Are we going to be positive, speak scripture over the situations, find the lesson, ask for direction, follow that still small voice? Or are you going to throw a tantrum???? Give into anger??? Let the enemy gain a foothold through self pity or bitterness?Give into your flesh and do all you can to regain control over the situation?

It absolutely  is a choice. Your behavior is the only thing you can truly have control over. When you keep the commandments the Father has promised to send The Holy Spirit as an aid for our lives.  Through choosing to be obedient we gain the gifts that come with the Holy Spirit; Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness,Long Suffering and Self Control.(Gal 5) So as you come to the growth opportunities in your life you must ask yourself: Is this going to be my will or His will to be done in my life?

Isaiah 55:8-9 - For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Ecclesiasticus 37:15“And above all this pray to the most High, that he will direct thy way in truth.”
