Hard work

Proverbs 31:27 - She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

When reading Proverbs 31 we see a woman that is using her talents given by the Father to provide for her household and ensure that everyone is taken care of. She is using her creativity, her intellect, and her wisdom to manage and care for what The Father has blessed her with.  In learning about being a wife, mother, and caretaker of a home I have noticed that it often boils down to perspective. Are you bothered by dishes or grateful you have people to feed? Are you overwhelmed by laundry or thankful that you have been blessed with people who need you? Are you disgruntled by cooking or looking forward to the Family meal that will bring laughter and joy into your dwelling?

Proverbs 16:27-29Living Bible (TLB)27 Idle hands are the devil’s workshop; idle lips are his mouthpiece.28 An evil man sows strife; gossip separates the best of friends.29 Wickedness loves company—and leads others into sin.

You have been given this one life. This one chance, this day to serve the Father in your best possible capability. This is a " easy thing" during the good times when everyone is listening and cooperating; but what about when times are complicated? What about when the kids are wrestling, the phone is ringing, the bills are past due, the pots are boiling over, the demands are being made and you feel overwhelmed? You feel like HELP I am doing all I can to keep my temper, home in order, and peace that you promised, why does it look like chaos is ensuing?????  The most orderly people that I know are disciplined ones. Interesting that to be a disciple you must be disciplined just by the very root of the word.

Colossians 1:10 “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;”

To have order you must have  discipline. The Father is not about chaos but of order. Not of confusion but understanding. So when you see things spinning out of control and into chaos around you, it is time to stop, reflect, pray, and find out where you lack discipline so you can correct it with the Fathers help.
