Where is your heart???

Matthew 6:21 - For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Where is your heart??? As you go about the course of your day where do you find your focus is it on positive things or is it focused on the cares of this life, bills, many disappointments? If your focus is not on what the Most High could teach you through your daily walk, I hate to say but you're off track. The Most High has not put any situation in our life for us to just complete the task without realizing the value or the lesson. You shouldn't be tied to anything on this earth. Remember Lots wife?

 Gen 19:17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

So many have speculated about why she turned around, why she looked back, what was behind her that she could not focus on what lay ahead? She had left family, a home, her life behind her. She was not heeding the instructions she had been given by The angel.  It boiled down to rebellion.  Instead of focusing on the safety that lay before her she lost her life being tied to the past.

Is your focus on obedience? Is your focus on Kingdom Work?  

Philippians 3:13Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, ¹⁴I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded:

Keep your head up!

So you've made it. You've made it past level one. Past boot camp. Past the nights of pressing in when you felt like running for the hills. Past the temptation to go back. Past learning how to set boundaries and show that The Most High is the biggest priority in your life.

Did you think it was time to rest??? Time to take a break? NO! Its time to get your armor on and make ye ready to the battle!

2 Esdras 16:40 “O my people, hear my word: make you ready to thy battle, and in those evils be even as pilgrims upon the earth.” 

Ephesians Chapter 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Now is the time that you prepare for war. Each of our wars look different. For some it's marching on endless drills in the jungle hunting out what is hidden. For others it's full on assault with air support. There you must learn tactical warfare and maneuvers to avoid death. For yet others it's patrol duty with night watch. Facing your fears head on and conquering them so that you can warn others.




You must find a seasoned soldier in this fight to show you the ropes. Show you what they did to survive. If you are full of pride and think you can do this without more training, study, and support you are wrong. The enemy will knock you out and send you to the infirmary so fast your head will spin. The Most High sent each one of his chosen into this battle zone with a mission in mind. So when your under fire and feel like giving up. Soldier keep on marching on!!!

 

Selfishness

Philippians 2:3 - [Let] nothing [be done] through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.


What does the Bible say about selfishness??? What does it say in regards to thinking of yourself more highly than others?


 Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 
1 Corinthians 8:2And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

1 Corinthians 10:12  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 

 Galatians 6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.  Luke 9:48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

 

 

What does it say about you that you can't see outside of yourself? So much of the world is walking around with blinders, only worrying about them and there's, only worrying about what they can do for their house, for their family, in their job. What about those around you?? What about those people that The Most High has put in your life? How do you minister to them? How do you give to them? How do you take care of them? What kind of Kingdom work are you putting in? Any????

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

 Proverbs 16:18  Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 - Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become [as] sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

John 15:13 - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Unique skill set

Uniqueness. Without it the world would be a most uninteresting place.  So what is your unique skill set?? Yes, there may be others that share similar skills but no one is you. No one can express the skills just the way the Father created you to. As long as you are focusing your time effort and energy on pleasing The Most High, he encourages You to be who he created you to be. Loud or quiet, quickly or carefully, athletically or book smartly. Where ever he has given you a talent in work that way and bring joy and honor to your Creator by celebrating the diversity of His Creation.


1 Timothy 4:12 - Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Colossians 3:23 - And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
